DP Cleaning recognises its responsibility to the environment in the widest sense, in respect of the company’s services and the way in which they impact the environment, seeks to maximise the beneficial effects and minimise those which might be harmful
The company endeavours to provide services to clients with advice to enable them to maintain their buildings, whilst reaching environmental best practice.
The company also endeavours to manage the operation of its business in the most environmentally and efficient manner.
SCOPE
The Scope of DP Cleaning’s policy is to:
Provide a first class service whilst minimising adverse impact on the environment.
Maximise opportunities to improve the environment.
Make sustainability integral to the overall ethos of the company.
Adopt a holistic company approach to environmental and sustainable aspects of all our services.
Provide clients with appropriate advice to enable them to minimise their footprint and reach best practice in terms of the environment and sustainability.
Meet present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
OBJECTIVES
- To seek to identify ways in which the environment can be enhanced, through material and technological choices – where possible to specify recyclable materials.
- Energy & Water – to minimise energy and water consumption in all of our services where possible.
- Air Quality – using purified water only, where possible to reduce the impact of chemicals on the environment.
- Waste – to minimise waste and seek opportunities for the recycling of same.
- Transport – to minimise carbon footprint i.e. cleaners travelling together (if by car) and using public transport.
- Community – to operate in ways that maximise social and economic benefit and minimise adverse impacts in the wider environment.
